Dr. Scheinost, M.D. practices progressive, evidence-based medicine. She focuses not only on the disease, but the whole patient. It is important when treating a patient to focus not only on treating the disease, but the physical, mental and emotional challenges that come from dealing with chronic diseases which can be hard on the patient and the family.
Dr. Scheinost practices with care and compassion and believe that the more the patient knows about his or her disease, the better they will be able to manage it on an ongoing basis. She also involves the patient in providing all options for treatment of various diseases so that the patient may make a well-informed choice.
She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, where she graduated magna cum laude from University of Nebraska-Omaha. She also attended medical school in Omaha at University of Nebraska Medical Center. She did her internship and residency in internal medicine at Good Samaritan in Scottsdale, Arizona. She completed her fellowship in Rheumatology at University of California-San Diego (USCD) in La Jolla.
Dr. Scheinost feels it is important to spend as much time with each patient as they need and get all their questions answered, so you might have a bit of a wait once you check in with the receptionist. Dr. Scheinost looks forward to taking care of you and improving the quality of your life.
